Central Refrigerated CDL Sponsorship Program
Central Refrigerated's career path is geared for individuals who are interested in the trucking industry. It provides a simple but direct program that will allow them to achieve a top pay scale in their first year in the industry.
The career path begins when qualified applicants attend Future Truckers of America, a Central Refrigerated approved training provider for North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Applicants attend a four week, 160 hour course. Central Refrigerated requires no money down for training and will finance students based on their qualifications for the training program. The only out of pocket training expenses are licensing fees, housing if needed, and living expenses while in school. Central Refrigerated covers costs such as DOT physical, drug testing and wellness testing.
In the CDL training program at Future Truckers of America, students learn the skills needed for their new career as a company driver. They learn how to properly operate a tractor and all of its components, shifting a 10 speed transmission with the double-clutching technique, pre-trip inspections, DOT logging rules and the necessary safety requirements of being an over the road (OTR) driver. Passing students will receive their Class "A" Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Central Refrigerated's sponsorship program is a wonderful opportunity to begin a career in the trucking industry with little expense to the student. However, THIS IS NOT FREE TRAINING! Central Refrigerated requires 1 year of employment with their company to offset their investment in your training.
